Event structure installation at the Tower of London for a corporate family fun day
Oxygen was brought in to provide design and management of production and technical services to include lighting, sound, power and water supply.
The event was held in the Moat at the Tower of London for 1500 people (a 30ft drop into the moat with no vehicle access). Many challenges had to be overcome whilst working on this historical site. All equipment and vehicles had to be craned in and out over a period of four days from a public area, fenced off to pedestrians.
Running power and lighting to the whole site for the daytime fun and games as well as kitchens, loos and the huge rig illuminating the dining and stage area comprised of 3 synchronised generators and over 2 miles of high current cable.
Noise management played a key part in the live event as well as cabaret co-ordination, the highlight of which was an evening performance in the marquee by a series of tribute acts that had the dance floor packed.
“I just wanted to drop you a note to say a huge Thank You for all of your hard work at the Tower of London. The event was a great success and I am so grateful for the way that everyone pulled together to make sure the execution was seamless!
Please pass on my thanks to the whole crew (too many to name them all!) and to Jess without whom I’m sure we would not have had such an easy ride once we got to site.
I really enjoyed working with you on the project and hopefully our paths will cross in the not too distant future!”
