National Maritime Museum Reopens Ocean Court After Major Refurbishment
Posted on: 4 November 2025

The Oxygen team recently had the pleasure of visiting The Ocean Court at the National Maritime Museum, following its highly anticipated re-opening.
After a year-long refurbishment project, the museum has now reopened its doors with a stunning new roof and a series of fresh design enhancements that beautifully balance the building’s heritage with a more contemporary event experience.
As the largest event venue within the Royal Museums Greenwich portfolio, the National Maritime Museum offers an exceptional setting for both corporate and private events. Its main event space, Ocean Map, provides an impressive open mezzanine floor within a grand atrium — the perfect backdrop for gala dinners, awards ceremonies, conferences, and large-scale receptions.
Guests can begin their evening in Ocean Court, surrounded by world-class maritime exhibits, or take advantage of the outdoor colonnades and southwest lawn for summer receptions and networking events. The venue’s combination of history, light, and scale makes it one of London’s most unique event spaces.
Oxygen is delighted to see this landmark venue return to full operation and looks forward to supporting our clients in hosting memorable events within this extraordinary setting.
